OUR M21 WIN, A STOP FOR OUR YLA JUNIORS

success for our reserve team, traveling to Monthey. Leonardo Argentina’s men won 2-1 on Saturday, after being down 1-0. Spotlight on the other Academy teams after the weekend’s matches.

YS YLA – SC Düdingen : 1-4
“We had a good start where the opponent did not put us in danger. In the 20th minute, the opponent opened the scoring after an error on our part. We hit the post and have two big chances to come back, but ultimately, Düdingen doubles the lead with a high recovery before the break.
In the 2nd half, we started well and created chances, but the opponent converted a nice free kick. We have the merit of not giving up and coming back to 3-1 with 20 minutes to go, but unfortunately, on a counterattack, we conceded another goal. We were beaten in aggressiveness, efficiency and state of mind. We will have to learn from this defeat and win our late match!” Vincent Lanoix and Mohamed Hamdache, Junior A coaches.

FC Grandson – YS YLB : 3-4
For this end of the 1st round, the objective remains the same. This match was special because it was a derby. Grandson had a very good first lap, but we were pushed around during the first half hour. Furthermore, we paid dearly for our multiple defensive errors. The score was 2-1 at half-time, but the youngsters still finished this period better.
The second half was much better: we dominated. However, Grandson put us in trouble again, with too many defensive lapses in situations that we should have been able to handle. The score could have been completely different at the end of the match, emotions took over and we must improve on this. »

Team Valon – YS YLB: 0-6
“The young people were serious, and this match allowed us to give some playing time. We finished this 1st round well. » Karanmady Dabo, Clément Correia and Maquine Chanfi, Junior B coaches.

FC Basel M20 – YSF M20: 9-0
« The away match against FC Basel ended in a heavy 9-0 defeat for our U20s. From the start, our lack of commitment and desire was felt, heavily influencing our performance. The players were feverish in the duels, seeming to hesitate and fear following the instructions given with and without the ball. Basel, for its part, was able to impose itself with undeniable superiority, especially on an athletic level, where they surpassed us in intensity and physical impact. This result highlights the need for deep questioning on the part of everyone. To compete with teams of this caliber, we must rediscover the determination, rigor and above all the self-confidence which were sorely lacking today. » Saif Kraiem and Laura Laithier, U20 coaches.

Team AFF – YSF M18 : 10-0
“We were going to the leader. Despite our opponent’s quick opening score, we started the match well. It was enough for us to lose concentration and lack self-discipline defensively at the end of the first half, and the score rose very quickly.
In the second half, we suffered from the opposition’s play. We lacked presence on the second balls, anticipation in the opponent’s movements and defensive communication. The final score speaks for itself. The work continues! » Maxime Champod and Rayan Mehrez, U18 coaches.

FC Valmont – YS FF-15 : 0-8
“We played a special match since we traveled to Valmont. Indeed, several of our players made their debut there before joining the Yverdon academy. Despite the context, we had to get back to work after qualifying on Wednesday. Fatigue was felt in the first third, in addition to a good team opposite who knew how to pose difficulties for us in the game. During the second third, we had to show our playing abilities, despite individual technical errors. We emerge victorious from this match, but we have reason to question our way of approaching matches in a particular context. » Abdel Kader Bouzidi and Amina Berisa, FF15 coaches.

YS FE14 – TEAM AFF FFV : 10-6
“We started off with a bang, quickly taking a comfortable lead which seemed to keep us safe. But the opponent, far from being resigned, woke up at the end of the match, reminding us that we must not give up. Of course, the bulk of the work was done, but we let ourselves be surprised by an excess of confidence, where we should have consolidated our lead. A lack of standards, perhaps. While we controlled the game from start to finish, we gave our opponent many Christmas presents. Regardless, this victory does us good and strengthens our current series. » Nicolas Phommarath, Michel Frutiger, Olivier Wütrich and Mickael Castejon, FE14 coaches.

YS M13 – Azzuri Lausanne : 4-4
“Another match where we dominated the game, but once again, we lacked the offensive efficiency to succeed in erasing our catastrophic start. In fact, we were down by two goals after 1 minute of play. We have been dominating for a few weeks now without managing to win our matches. Players must be much more demanding of themselves and understand the importance of small details in football (1st touch of the ball, taking information, communication) in order to continue their progress. We have 1 match left to finish this 1st round on a good note and rediscover the pleasure of victory. » Bruno Reymond and Fabrice Prahin, U13 coaches.

YS FE 13 – Team AFF Castella : 3-0 /
– YS FE 13 (friendly 8-6)
“This weekend, our FE13 team took part in two important trips: a championship match on Saturday in Bulle against Team AFF Castella and a friendly on Sunday in Dijon against the U13s from the training center.
During the first match in Bulle, our players won 3-0 thanks to a solid and controlled performance. They particularly excelled in managing the high and low moments of the match, showing great character to keep a clean sheet. We also observed progress in offensive animation, particularly in running and moving in attack.
The next day, in Dijon, the opposition was high level against the elite of the Côte d’Or. It was an intense and hard-fought encounter, where both teams fought tirelessly. Trailing 4-1, our players showed determination to get back to 4-4. However, a few concentration errors cost us avoidable goals late in the game, which is part of the challenge and learning at this age. The final score, 8-6 in favor of Dijon, reflects a great battle, and we leave proud of the image of our club. » Sofian Sausan and Matar Coly, FE13 coaches.

Dijon U12 – YS FE 12: 7-5
“Great performance from our boys for their first match in a different format from FE12. After struggling to get into the game, we quickly took the lead, consolidating our dominance to lead 4-1 after 20 minutes. However, a few repeated errors allowed the opponent to get back into the match and then take the advantage. However, we emerge satisfied with this opposition, rich in learning. » Romuald Neves, Jérôme Bertin, Benjamin Wolf and Tiago Parreira, FE12 entrants

AS Haute-Broye I – Yverdon Sport FC M11: 5-0
“It was a very difficult match with few duels won, too much waste, and largely avoidable mistakes that failed us. Using the ball was very complicated against a very physical team who gave us a lot of problems. » Fouad Rameche and Philippe Abreu, U11 coaches.

FC Sainte-/La Sagne I – YS D1: 2-1
“The first third was a little complicated. We took a while to get into the game, particularly due to too much haste in our passes. However, we created scoring opportunities without realizing them, unfortunately.
During the 2nd third, we were completely absent, but we came back for the 3rd third with more conviction. We lacked the last breath to go in front at the end, but we created a lot of chances. Lacking success, the ball was not on our side with 3 posts and 2 shots on the boards. » Ali Tor Keven De Brito and Hervé Mathis, D1 coaches.

FC Yvonand II – Yverdon Sport FC D3 : 1-2
“The team won 2-1 against FC Yvonand. The match started with great intensity, marked by sustained pressing from both sides. At the end of the first third, we were down 1-0. However, in the second third, our team showed slight superiority and managed to equalize at 1-1. During the third period, our team’s determination to win the game was palpable. We knew that this victory would guarantee us the title of group champions, whatever the result of the other match. We raised our level of play and managed to score the winning goal. It was a very combative match, and we fully deserved this victory. Congratulations to our players for an almost perfect first round! Thank you for their investment and hard work, and to all the parents who bring their children every weekend and enthusiastically cheer them on. Thanks also to the D1 team, who support us every weekend – this victory is also theirs! » Isaac Brasileiro and Bruno Mozillo, D3 entrants.
