Beaten in their four previous outings, the Hawks returned to victory on Sunday in the NBA.
Clint Capela and his teammates won 126-111 in New Orleans to pick up their third success of the season.
Capela remained discreet against a team deprived of four of his usual starters, including the strong man of his interior sector Zion Williamson (thigh injury). The Geneva pivot from Atlanta must be satisfied with a harvest of 8 points, 4 rebounds and 1 block. But he displays a differential of +27 having spent only 21 minutes on the floor.
The big man of the match was Hawks winger Jalen Johnson, who came close to a triple double by accumulating 29 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists (as well as 2 steals and 2 blocks). Leader Trae Young scored 23 points and 12 assists, with ex-Pelicans Dyson Daniels and Larry Nance Jr scoring 16 and 14 points respectively against their former employer.
