Union Saint-Gilloise is struggling to find the net at the start of the season. Sébastien Pocognoli will therefore call on Kevin Mirallas.
“If I could one day work at Standard, I would be really happy. If I can work there with my friend Sébastien Pocognoli, I would sign without thinking,” declared Kevin Mirallas a few weeks ago. The former Red Devil probably did not imagine that the association would see the light of day so soon…on the side of the Union Saint-Gilloise.
Het Nieuwsblad reveals that Mirallas will officially join the Poco staff at Parc Duden to work specifically with the attackers.
Because the problem with the Union is offensively: the team has scored 13 goals in 13 championship matches and has failed to find the net six times.
The Union must regain spontaneity in front of the opposing goal
The group has already discovered Kevin Mirallas: the former striker already gave some advice last week and was already present as an attentive spectator during the meetings in Eupen and Mechelen.
Kevin Mirallas knew Sébastien Pocognoli well during his training at Standard, then with the Red Devils. But it will be a first since the end of their playing career. Until a few months ago, he was the sporting director of Eendracht Aalst.
