The L format, organized this Saturday by Vichy Triathlon, will be the scene of the French long distance championship for all categories and age groups. Three other races are offered throughout the weekend.

Four distances (XS, S, M and L), individual or relay races, formats open to children and families… For the 4th edition of its event, Vichy Triathlon is committed to making the disciplines accessible to a wide audience. chained.
Throughout the weekend, nearly 1,500 athletes will gather at the starting site below the Jacques-Chirac bridge on the left bank.

But this year, the Vichy-Bellerive triathlon will take on a very special scale since its L format will host the French long distance championship on Saturday.

On the program for the 588 competitors registered for this race: 2,500 meters of swimming, 92 kilometers of cycling and 20 kilometers of running. The athletes will set off into the Allier towards the Jacques-Chirac bridge then go up along the right bank to the Beaurivage campsite before returning to the starting site where they will get on their bike towards Abrest. The route, whose positive altitude difference is close to 1,200 meters, will take the runners through Molles, then near Mayet-de-Montagne before crossing Arronnes and reaching Bellerive-sur-Allier.
In the running race, the athletes will circle the lake twice with a loop in the Parc des Bourins.
The titles of champion of France will be awarded in all categories and age groups. Proof of the importance of the event, several first division clubs will be represented (Metz Triathlon, Triathl’Aix, Issy Triathlon, Valence Triathlon, Tria Val de Gray, Triathlon Club Liévin, etc.).
