Heading to the Interlagos circuit for the Brazilian Grand Prix, twenty-first round of the 2024 Formula 1 season.
After three particularly intense weeks, the great F1 circus is settling down in São Paulo. The end of an American tour passed through Austin, Texas and Mexico which put bodies and minds to the test.
Brazil is a historic and unmissable event on the calendar. This is the 51st time in the history of Formula 1 that the Auriverde nation has hosted a Grand Prix, and the 42nd time on the famous Interlagos track. As for the last two seasons, the South American meeting will take place in a Sprint format with for the fifth time this season a Sprint race on Saturday and the main race on Sunday.
Having passed away 30 years ago, Ayrton Senna will of course be in all the minds and hearts of a nation which has never really recovered from the loss of its idol. Everyone will remember that on March 24, 1991, Ayrton Senna finally won his national Grand Prix in Dantean conditions. Crippled with cramps and at the end of his strength, Senna went beyond the pain to finally achieve a victory on his home soil and sign what certainly remains his greatest success in F1. The celebrations will be numerous and will reach their peak when Lewis Hamilton takes to the track at the wheel of the McLaren MP4/5B with which the Brazilian became World Champion in 1990. The demonstration is to take place on Saturday at the end of the Sprint day and qualifying, around 5:00 p.m. local time (9:00 p.m. in France).
