After having played the previous rounds behind closed doors against Seudre-Océan, Bassens and Coeur Médoc, FC Bressuire, a Regional 1 club, intends to welcome spectators into its stadium for this 7th round of the French Cup against the Girondins de Bordeaux.
Indeed, the Alain-Métayer stadium is classified T3 with a capacity of 3,600 seats which makes it possible to host the meeting, indicates Footamateur. It is therefore a strong argument.
FC Bressuire will approach the prefecture which will set the tone for the progress of the meeting. For the moment no decision has been taken whether on a closed session or on a travel ban on Girondins supporters. The match will be played on the weekend of November 16.
“A beautiful poster and we will make sure to receive them well”
The reaction of the club president, Stpéhane Viault on the club website: “It’s a great draw at home to receive a monument of French football, like FC Girondins de Bordeaux. It is also an opportunity to create a lot of excitement around this meeting in the region and beyond, and to provide great emotions to everyone. It is rather, a beautiful poster and we will make sure to receive them well, in the best conditions and without reception concerns. A ticket office will be organized, we will inform you of the organizational arrangements as soon as they are fixed and known.”
