The San Jose Sharks still don’t know when Macklin Celebrini will be able to return to the game.

General manager Mike Grier said Thursday that his young star player has returned to action with the team and has “taken the next step.”

However, the GM has not set a date for the return of the first overall pick from the last National League draft.

Celebrini only played in the Sharks’ first game this season. He also collected a goal and an assist during this one.

After this duel, Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky would not say if his skater suffered an injury during the match or if it was the same problem that bothered him during the preparatory schedule . In a preseason match against the Utah club, the North Vancouver native hit the rail hard and injured his lower body.

The Sharks are currently in last place in the general standings on the Bettman circuit. They maintained a poor record of 2-7-2.
