Felix Bourgoin and Miliani Simon are the big winners of the Taapuna Masters 2024 in the surf category. For 3 days, no less than 90 surfers, bodyboarders and drop knee boarders competed on the Taapuna wave. In perfect conditions, Miliani won against the Fierro sisters, Heimiti and Kohai. And among the men Felix Bourgoin exploded the scores. In El Salvador, Patricia Rossi defends the colors of fenua at the ISA master world championship.

The 30th edition of the Taapuna Masters ended this afternoon in Punaauia.

In surfing, the main event, among around forty competitors among men, it was Félix Bourgoin who won the edition thanks to two superb waves close to perfection rated 9.67 and 9.77 points out of 10. He won against Hauroa Maiotui.

Among the ladies, still in surfing, it was Miliani Simon who climbed to the highest step of the podium, ahead of the little sisters of our international champion Vahine Fierro, Kohai and Heimiti by a few hundredths of a point.

The young surfer dominated by Kohai didn’t give up and made an excellent choice of wave at the end, which allowed her to win the thirtieth edition of the Taps.

Other winners, Taimoana Chaumet in men’s kneeboard, Dayven Faua in men’s drop knee, and finally Tuariki Bellais in men’s bodyboard

The conditions were rainy, but the waves were fairly regular with a swell of 1.50 m. Enough to allow the hundred or so spectators who came to the Punaauia spot to witness a beautiful show.

In Central America, Patricia Rossi and Hira Teriinatoofa are currently competing in the ISA master world championship in El Salvador. Patricia is the first to enter the fray. Registered in 2 categories, she qualified for the second round among the over 40s. On the other hand, among those over 50, it went through the repechage. She finished 4th of her series behind the Hawaiian Melanie Bartels and her French compatriot Marie-Pierre Abgrall.

If she returns to competition, under pressure, the Polynesian still has every chance of reaching the final four.
