Morocco will once again be at the center of African football by hosting the CAF Awards ceremony on December 16, a major event rewarding the continent’s best players and coaches. This is the third consecutive time that this prestigious ceremony has been organized on Moroccan soil. However, the exact location of this edition has not yet been revealed. During the two previous editions, Morocco had already demonstrated its organizational know-how. In 2022, the ceremony took place at the Mohammed VI complex, with Sadio Mané, the Senegalese international, receiving the African Ballon d’Or. In 2023, it was in Marrakech that the distinction was awarded to Nigerian Victor Osimhen, in recognition of his remarkable performances. This year, several Moroccan figures could be among the candidates for the African Ballon d’Or. Brahim Diaz, winner of the Champions League and the Spanish championship, is expected to be one of the favorites. For his part, Achraf Hakimi, crowned champion and winner of the Coupe de France with Paris Saint-Germain, could also claim this title.
