They could ultimately wait a few more days. Or even several additional weeks. The request for dismissal filed by the lawyers of Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jegou will be examined this Friday. The Mendoza public prosecutor’s office made a decision to this effect on October 4 and the date of October 18 was set. In the entourage of the two internationals still indicted for violent gang rape for alleged acts on July 7 in Argentina, many thought, or at least hoped, an imminent verdict. A doubt remains despite everything.

As indicated by Olympic Midday and confirmed by The Teamtwo hearings, and not just one, could be scheduled depending on the information provided to the players’ relatives. The first will take place on Friday, the second could be held a week later, on October 25. Each of the two parties will plead. The deliberation could then not take place by the end of the month but possibly a week or ten days after the second hearing. However, the prosecution, which we contacted, is very cautious about holding a second hearing. It would only be set up if necessary (a room has already been reserved for the 25th).
