The wink of history was strong enough for Zinédine Zidane to make the trip to Granada. Indeed, the Granada club hosted Cordoba for a second division match in Spain with a narrow victory for the locals (1-0). A match which had the particularity of opposing two sons of the French football legend. On one side, Luca Zidane who is one of the goalkeepers of Granada and on the other, Théo Zidane who joined Cordoba after leaving Real Madrid.
Luca didn’t play, Théo was quickly sent off!
Problem, the day did not take the dream turn for the Zidane clan. Luca Zidane, on the Granada side, has already remained glued to the sidelines since it was Marino who was preferred in the cage. And on the Cordoba side, although Théo Zidane was starting, his match quickly ended with a direct red card even before half-time (39th). Not really the kind of scenario that Zinédine Zidane was undoubtedly hoping for when visiting his children. Note that Elyaz, the youngest, plays for the Betis Sevilla youth teams.
