The next summer transfer window promises to be exciting for FC Barcelona fans. The Blaugrana will be in particular looking for a new goalkeeper. They would also have targeted five names to possibly take over from Marc-André ter Stegen in the Catalan goal.

The goalkeeper position at FC Barcelona is likely to be the center of attention in the coming months. Marc-André ter Stegen suffered a serious knee injury. He will not play again this season. To replace him, the Catalan club decided to bring back Wojciech Szczesny, who came out of retirement.

This does not prevent the Blaugrana from monitoring the goalkeeper market. They do not know in what state Marc-André ter Stegen will return, while Wojciech Szczesny has signed a one-year contract for the moment. According to information from Sports WorldBarça would therefore keep an eye on Diogo Costa (FC Porto), Alvaro Vallés (Las Palmas), Bart Verbruggen (Brighton), Joan Garcia (Espanyol Barcelona) and Mio Backhaus (Werder Bremen).

Still according to the Spanish daily, Barça has not ruled out extending Wojciech Szczesny if the next few months go well. The Blaugrana goalkeeper’s file will therefore be closely monitored throughout the season.
