The Lions emerge victorious from their duel against the Friborg Dragons at the Vaudoise Arena with a score of 6-0. The post-match is presented to you by our main partner, Vaudoise Assurances.
An intractable LHC
In attack and defense, Geoff Ward’s men were simply in all the right places this evening. During the first third, the LHC managed to put one of its five shots on goal. In powerplay, Ken Jaeger perfectly deflects Damien Riat’s shot, being well placed in front Berra Challenge. A realism that goes hand in hand with the solidity demonstrated in defense.
A demonstration of seriousness which will be repeated during the rest of the meeting. Ferryman, Damien Riat will very quickly transform into a scorer from the start of the second third. Author of his first goal in the National League last week, Benjamin Bougro will once again relive great emotions by scoring Lausanne’s third goal. A gap of three goals which will be accentuated, Lukas Frick just before the second break.
With a large score of 4-0, Geoff Ward’s men will be content to manage this lead during the third period. By leaving very little space to their opponents, Ken Jager will shine by scoring a double in powerplay just before Michael Hügli does not unlock his goal counter at 5 against 3.
The stars of the match
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ken Jaeger : Part of the Lausanne locker room, our number 17 had still not found the net this season. Facing the Friborg neighbors, Ken found inspiration in powerplay to do much more than simply unlock his meter. With a double scored in special situations, he was the man for the job against Fribourg.
⭐️⭐️ Kevin Pasche : The race for the first shutout therefore ends on October 11 for Kevin Pasche who simply said NO, against the Dragons this evening. With 25 saves on the clock, number 33 showed that he had matured to resist opposing pressure.
⭐️ The public at the Vaudoise arena: A 6-0 whitewash victory was needed to celebrate the best attendance of the season in the Lions’ den. 9,419 spectators for this first shock of the season against HC Fribourg-Gottéron, well done and thank you for your support, there is strength in numbers!
