National: Nice and Narbonne will face each other in the final

The National semi-finals have delivered their verdict! While Nice won without too much difficulty against Suresnes, Narbonne offered itself a place in the final in a completely crazy derby! Nice and Narbonne will therefore face each other in the National final on May 18 on the Chambéry lawn.

Nice as a leader

While Suresnes had created a surprise in the play-off near Albi, this trip to the leader promised to be much more perilous. And unsurprisingly Nice managed to get rid of today’s visitors to secure a place in the championship final. A 35-13 victory in a sold-out stadium.

However, it was Suresnes who opened the scoring thanks to the indiscipline of the locals. But the power of Nice quickly took the upper hand with no less than five tries scored in this meeting. The leader of the regular phase therefore advances to the National final!

A crazy derby and Narbonne goes to the final!

This Aude derby kept all its promises! In a Sports and Friendship Park in turmoil for this second National semi-final, the two teams engaged in a fierce fight. Trailing for a long time, Julien Seron’s men and his staff managed to come back to finish with a score of 20 to 20. Carcassonne and Narbonne therefore had to decide in overtime.

The RCN initially took the advantage thanks to the foot of Chauvet who added three points to the counter (23-20). But the Carcassonnais were still just as dangerous. Ultimately the RCN will hold on to offer themselves this precious final where they will meet Nice, whom they had already faced in the final phase during the 2020-2021 season.
