“No excuses”: a group of Anderlecht supporters express their mea culpa after the incidents against Real Sociedad

The events took place on October 3 during the Europa League match between Real Sociedad and Sporting Anderlecht. During the first period, as soon as the Belgians were behind, Anderlecht fans threw seats from the block reserved for them towards the Basque supporters located below. This forum was intended for families. The Brussels supporters were in a block surrounded by double glazing, but hooligans managed to create a breach through the windows. They ripped off chairs and threw them towards the home fans through the hole formed.

The referee had to interrupt the match a few seconds before calm returned. If Anderlecht finally won 1-2, the behavior of these supporters tarnished the sporting performance.
