To finance their poker games, drug traffickers allegedly brought cocaine from . During the summer of 2022, customs officers got their hands on 1.7 tonnes of drugs hidden in furniture, reports The Parisian Monday October 7, 2024. Suspect released

Subsequently, four other men taking part in these illegal activities were arrested. One of them, a professional poker player, was arrested in Morocco. A second suspect known to the police was presented before the investigating chamber on Wednesday October 2. Aged 45, he was released.

The latter had explained that he was only a “handyman”. He denies any involvement in this affair, although he admitted to knowing the other suspects. At this time, the investigation is still ongoing and additional analyzes have been requested.
