The Vaudois derby between Yverdon and Lausanne turned to the advantage of the first named. At the Municipal Stadium, the Yverdonnois won 3-1 thanks to a fiery start to the match.

There was no need to be late at the Yverdon stadium. After 17 minutes of play, Alessandro Mangiarratti’s men were already leading 3-0.

It was first of all Kamenovic who opened the scoring in the 9th. The Serb scored 1-0 with a header from a pass from Liziero. Five minutes later, it was Kevin Carlos who made the break for his colors. Launched deep by Mahious, the Spaniard crucified the Lausanne goalkeeper Letica. Kevin Carlos even scored his double by scoring 3-0 with a header in the 17th minute following a corner from Olesen.

Yverdon practically saved

Three shots on target, three goals, the mass was practically said after a little over a quarter of an hour of play. But an expulsion of Tijani in the 60th minute for a second yellow card and the penalty that followed brought Lausanne to two lengths. Despite these last 30 minutes at 10 against 11, Yverdon was able to preserve its advantage.

In the standings, Yverdon is practically saved with 10 points ahead of the play-off Grasshopper while there are only 12 left to distribute. For Lausanne, now antepenultimate, the margin on GC remains substantial – 7 points – but it will be a question of taking shelter as quickly as possible.
