The Lavelanet Youth Space is leading a film project based on interviews with sports celebrities.

The Lavelanet Youth Space is very active in organizing actions on the environment, cyber harassment, values and ethics in sport, tolerance, the fight against all forms of discrimination, living together . So, this year, the project is based on the production of a film which will reveal interviews, micro-reports on elected officials and sports celebrities to whom young people ask various questions including that on the differences between women and men in sport.

Thus, after the Lavelanetian Kamel Chibli, regional vice-president, the Ariégeoises Perrine Laffont, Olympic champion, and Charlène Laur, high-level referee, who made the detour to the premises of the youth area, in Lavelanet, Valentine Badiano , French BMX champion, three players from Stade Toulousain each answered questions from Sélia, Corentin and Adrien, when they came to the Paul Bergère stadium for off-site training.

With strict rules. “Everything was organized with Lorène, the press officer of Stade Toulousain. There were agreements to respect,” explains Karine Tolosa, head of the youth area, “each young person could only ask a player one question.”

Upstream work has been done. Thus, after training, at autograph time, the trio of young people, impressed but determined, asked very specific questions about the values of sport, which somewhat surprised the chosen Toulouse players, François Cros, with their diversity. , Santiago Chonobarès and Kalvin Gourgues.

Other interviews are planned. It remains a long-term project. Ultimately, the film will be produced and presented in middle and high schools in Lavelanet. Raising awareness through sport, and also disabled sports, remains a strong theme in the youth area. We could see this during the Football World Cup with the organization of the broadcast of two matches at the Covered Market and the running of a stand selling non-alcoholic drinks. Proof also with the “Common Ground” action, which returns in June, a project organized by the youth space and its facilitators, with the aim of bringing young people together around sport with, as a backdrop, living it together and the fight against incivility, doping, respect for the rules, fair play.
