The peloton should arrive grouped, or almost, at the foot of the Oropa sanctuary (11.8 km at 6.2%). This second stage does not present any major difficulties in its first part. In the last bump, the passage to 14%, two kilometers from the finish, should hurt your legs. At the end of the stage, there should be a change of pink jersey.
What favorites?
Obviously, the name of Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) is the most mentioned, as the Slovenian has been so far above the rest since the start of the season. On Saturday he finished third in the first stage. But, this Sunday, without mechanical problems or falls, the recent winner of Liège-Bastogne-Liège should deal a first blow to his main rivals.
