Maléye Ndoye is appointed new coach of BBC Nyon

Maléye Ndoye becomes the new coach of BBC Nyon (Swiss Elite). He will now take charge of the LNA team where he played and captained for the last seven years.

The emblematic Maléye Ndoye, aged 43, will soon begin a new adventure. After playing an additional season with the Rock, the Senegalese international was named head of the Nyon first team, replacing coach Stefan Ivanovic. A new responsibility for him who has already had the opportunity to lead the U23 team this season.

A retirement announcement for this end of season

After twenty professional seasons, the Senegalese veteran finally retires. It is scheduled for the end of the 2024 season. However, there will be no rest for the Medina player because he will go directly from the field to his team’s bench. Just like his current coach Ivanovic.

A very understandable choice

“The choice of Maléye Ndoye was obvious for the club. Arriving at BBC Nyon in 2018, he was able to put his immense talent and experience to the benefit of our young and old players. We thank him for his loyalty and commitment,” said the club press release.

Maléye Ndoye has had a career full of appointments. He played in France notably in Dijon, Le Mans, Orléans, Paris-Levallois and Rueil. He won several medals with Senegal at Afrobasket. Additionally, he currently serves as the general manager of the Senegal men’s team.
