Chinese driver Ma Qing Hua won the second race of the “FIA WTCR Race of Morocco”, held on Saturday at the Moulay El Hassan circuit in Marrakech.
The Chinese driver of the “Lynk & Co Cyan Racing” team beat the Argentinian driver Esteban Guerrieri (Goat Racing) who came in second position and the Serbian Dusan Borkovic (Goat Racing) who occupied 3rd place.
The young Moroccan driver Sami Taoufik (Volcano Motosports) occupied 6th position while his compatriot Mehdi Bennani (Clairet Sport) arrived in 10th position.
The awards ceremony for the winners of the second race took place in the presence of the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa, the Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, governor of the prefecture of Marrakech , Farid Chourak and the president of the Royal Moroccan Motor Sports Federation, Abderrahim Abdane.
In a statement to MAP, Ma Qing Hua, expressed his joy for this great performance achieved during the Marrakech Grand Prix, expressing his admiration for the good organization and the beautiful atmosphere which reign on the Moulay El Hassan circuit in the ocher city .
The Chinese driver at the same time praised the excellent work carried out by his team, which allowed him to obtain this excellent result.
The World Touring Car Championship began this season in Italy (May 19-21). The next stages will take place respectively in the United States (June 7-8), Brazil (July 19 and 21), Uruguay (August 2-4), China (September 20-22), Australia (1- November 2/7-9) and Macau (November 14-17).
