Guillaume Hubert took the place of Théo Defourny in the RWDM goals. The arrival of Yannick Ferrera changed everything for him.
It was October 25, 2015: the Standard won 2-3 in Charleroi with a new goalkeeper between the poles. Launched for a single match without a future by José Riga the previous season, Guillaume Hubert this time installed himself as a starter in the Rouches goal.
Yannick Ferrera was then in charge. Nine years later, the paths of the two men crossed again to lead to the RWDM. Which earned Hubert the number one goalkeeper.
But the Molenbeek goalkeeper explains to RTBF that it is the whole team which has benefited from this change of coach: “The arrival of Yannick Ferrera has brought a new positive dynamic, joy and desire to training . And even love! With him, you feel loved.”
RWDM is not dead
A fairly clear break from Bruno Irleswho only stayed six weeks: “Ferrera released certain players and clarified the tasks. Bruno Irlès? Above all, we wasted a lot of time. He was distant, quite cold with the players, and it didn’t work. There you go “.
A new dynamic which allows RWDM to always believe in maintaining. The team currently sits in second place in the Playdowns. If it manages to keep Kortrijk at bay (the gap is two points), it will compete in a play-off to secure its place in D1A against the winner of the duel between Deinze and Lommel.
