Nathan De Cat is progressing quickly at Anderlecht. He is rewarded with a new contract.

Appeared in D1B with the RSCA Futures last season when he was only 15 years old, Nathan DeCat impresses in Anderlecht. A fairly elegant defensive midfielder, he was called up by Brian Riemer for the first team this summer and even helped out several times in defense in preparation.

He thus appeared four times on the A core bench in the Pro League, while making several starts with the U23s. At 16, he is considered a great hope for Neerpede.

Two more years in Mauve

Anderlecht therefore decided to extend it until 2027. The news was made official by Sporting on its social networks. The blond guy is obviously delighted to extend the adventure at Lotto Park, while showing himself to be ambitious.

“My family and I are very happy with this contract extension. It is the best choice for me to continue my development at RSC Anderlecht. I have already learned a lot here, with my first steps with the A team My dream is to be able to make my debut with the first team at Lotto Park this season,” he said in the press release.

Jesper Fredberg explains: “We are very impressed by Nathan’s rapid development. He showed it to us last summer, during the pre-season camp. Nathan is a very intelligent player. We now want to give him the chance to train with the first team, so that he gets used to a higher level and continues to develop physically.”

Before concluding: “We share his ambition, and we hope that he will be able to make his debut for the first team this season, while benefiting from many minutes of play with the RSCA Futures”.
