Brian Goorjian steps down as Australia coach

Arriving in 2001, first as an assistant, then as head coach in 2004, the 71-year-old Californian won the gold medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. Returning in 2020, after having been appointed to the coaching staff of the Chinese national team (2009-2010), Goorjian won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, the first in the history of the selection.
