Anderlecht’s infirmary continues to fill up. Brian Riemer could be deprived of six potential starters for the reception of Sporting Charleroi.
Sporting Anderlecht suffered their first defeat of the season on Tuesday evening against Genk. A match after which the Lotto Park sang, as one, “Riemer buiten”, in protest at the non-existent play proposed by the Mauves.
RSCA will host Sporting Charleroi in the league, then Ferencvaros in the Europa League, in the next seven days, and Brian Riemer will have to make sure his players show something else to avoid the exit door.
While he is blameworthy on many elements, it must be stressed that the Danish coach is, for the moment, not helped by injuries. Against Charleroi on Saturday, Riemer could be deprived of six (!) potential starters.

Thorgan Hazard and Jan Vertonghen, firstly, who have not yet recovered. But also Ludwig Augustinsson, taken off on a stretcher and in an ambulance this Tuesday against Genk, who is suspected of having suffered a head injury. The Swede would not even remember the end of the match.
Against the Limburgers, Luis Vazquez and Anders Dreyer were not on the match sheet. The first injured his ankle against Westerlo, the second is suffering from a knee problem, and both should return to the stands this weekend.
