Discussions intensify between FC Nantes and Young Boys Berne for a potential transfer of the prolific striker Meschack Elijahnicknamed the “Congolese Neymar”. After coming close to leaving Ligue 1 last summer, the Congolese international 27 ans could well join the banks of the Erdre from this winter transfer window, in the form of a loan with purchase option of 2 million euros.
A prolific scorer with an impressive career
Since his arrival at Young Boys in 2020, Meschack Elijah scored a remarkable total of 43 buts and issued 41 assistsdemonstrating his offensive talent and versatility to evolve across the entire attacking front. His solid experience also includes 16 Champions League matchestestifying to its high level on the European scene. With such a record, the Congolese would represent a major reinforcement for the Canaries.
A transfer validated by Kombouaré and the Kita
According to information from Foot Mercato, the profile of Meschack Elijah to convince the coach Antoine Kombouare and the family that owns FC Nantes, the We. However, Baptiste Drouethead of the recruitment unit, seems to have another path in mind and is not a fervent supporter of this transfer.
