At 38, Justine Mettraux is preparing to complete her first Vendée Globe in admirable fashion. In the Top 10 since December 26, Geneva is expected on the night of January 25 to 26 on the finish line of this 10th edition. It is therefore in 75 or 76 days that she will complete it, thus becoming the fastest female competitor on this solo, non-stop and unassisted world tour.

It was Clarisse Crémer who held this record after completing, on February 3, 2021, the Vendée Globe in 87 days and 2 hours, beating for the occasion the old time of 94 days and 4 hours held since 2001 by Ellen MacArthur who remains the first woman, and the only one for the moment, to be on the podium (2nd) of the Vendée Globe.

This Thursday, January 23, while sailing off the coast of Spain, Justine Mettraux pointed to the 9e position, 560 nautical miles from Les Sables d'Olonne.
