Recruited by OM as a free player from Chelsea at the start of 2022, Emran Soglo will leave the club during this winter transfer window. The young English defender is on his way to the United States.

For the moment, it is the young players from Marseille's post-training who are shaking up the OM transfer window in January. Enzo Sternal has joined Anderlecht while Roggerio Nyakossi is expected in Belgium to sign for Oud Heverlee Louvain for 750,000 euros. Two departures to which we will soon have to add that of Emran Soglo. Recruited for zero euros at the end of his contract with Chelsea in February 2022, the 19-year-old English defender played three Ligue 1 matches and five Europa League matches with the Olympian club, mainly under the orders of Jean-Louis Gasset .

Despite an interesting potential which suggested that he could have a chance at Olympique de Marseille in the long term, Emran Soglo will finally pack his bags. According to information from Loïc Tanzi, journalist specializing in the transfer window for The Teamthe native of Créteil will commit for three years to the American club Chicago Fire. OM is not very greedy when it comes to transfer compensation for its young players (500,000 euros for Sternal, 750,000 euros for Nyakossi). We can therefore think that the same is true for Soglo even if Pablo Longoria is careful to include very large percentages in the event of an explosion and resale. The details of the transfer of the former Chelsea left-back have in any case not filtered for the moment.
