OM Mercato: thunderclap in the Wahi file!

According to a German journalist, Eintracht Frankfurt made a fairly low offer to OM for Elye Wahi and would have no intention of revising it upwards.

This Wednesday, we could read in the media that Olympique de had started looking for a new striker and that Medhi Benatia was not setting any limits. He would have contacted Bayern Munich for Mathys Tel, would be eyeing Ajax where he remembered that Brian Brobbey had caused misery to the Phocaeans last season in the Europa League (double at the Vélodrome) and would also target the Mexican striker of Feyenoord Santiago Giménez. Very attractive tracks which put the essentials in the background: Elye Wahi has not yet been sold. And for having put the cart before the horse, the Marseille leaders risk finding themselves with a psychologically affected player because, as it is, the attacker should stay in Provence this winter!

Frankfurt will not go beyond €20 million

German journalist Florian Plettenberg announces that Eintracht Frankfurt has made an offer of €20 million to Marseille management for Elye Wahi. The latter refused it because it is waiting to cover its costs for the former Lensois, purchased for €25 million plus €5 million in bonuses last summer. But Plattenberg assures that it will be take it or leave it because the German club has no intention of offering more! And this when he has just sold Omar Marmoush to Manchester City for €80 million.

So it could be that the Wahi track in Frankfurt is over. Which would bring Marseille leaders back to their first idea: giving their player time to integrate. This was also the wish of Elye Wahi. OM leaders must now hope that it will not be too affected by all these about-faces in the space of a few weeks!
