Medhi Benatia is once again in the sports headlines during this transfer window. Recently appointed director of football operations at Olympique de Marseille, the new club manager seems keen to strengthen the team under the leadership of Roberto De Zerbi. One player who emerged in the discussions is Aymeric Laporte, currently teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.
Laporte began his footballing journey at Aviron Bayonnais before leaving France at the age of 16 to join Athletic Bilbao, where he honed his skills and enjoyed his first seasons before achieving great success at Manchester City.
