A great start to the year! Yesterday evening, the Phocéens struck a major blow in the race for the podium by achieving a precious success on the pitch at Stade Rennais by winning with a score of 2-1. And as is often the case, Mason Greenwood put on the show. A passer and scorer, he was one of the great architects of this victory which allowed Roberto de Zerbi’s men to take five points ahead of AS Monaco in second place in the championship.

And this morning, the English striker recruited from Manchester United this summer, received a great reward. In fact, he was voted player of the month for December in Ligue 1! He finished at the top of the vote with 38% of the votes, ahead of Lyon’s Rayan Cherki (33%) and Lille’s Jonathan David (29%). The championship’s top scorer continues to impress in his first season in France.
