After months of waiting, new England manager Thomas Tuchel finally landed at St George's Park on Monday afternoon. The Three Lions boss officially took up the role on January 1 and has already been spotted attending a number of Premier League matches over the weekend: “I am very proud to have had the honor of managing the England team. I have long felt a personal connection to the game in this country, and it has already given me some incredible moments. Having the chance to represent England is a huge privilege, and the opportunity to work with this special and talented group of players is very exciting. Working closely with Anthony as assistant coach, we will do everything we can to make England successful and the fans proud. I would like to thank the FA, especially Mark and John, for their trust and I look forward to beginning our journey together“, he declared last October.

And after several months of champing at the bit, Thomas Tuchel is officially back in action to take England up a gear after several years waiting for a major trophy: “I think we are there, the group of players has proven that it is there, the consistency is impressive and it shows that we have players who compete day after day in the strongest championship, we have the ingredients and we think that this is the time to install models, behaviors and principles that can help the team cross the line. We'll need luck, that's a fact, but we're confident we'll bring something from club football that could help. Now if we talk about the goal, you have to prove yourself every day. I will be coaching the national team every day, not just on campus. We have to show it in qualifying and create an atmosphere with the fans“. The work begins now.
A Tuchel already in the oven and in the mill!
