Looking for a bench since his failures at ASSE and Dijon, Pascal Dupraz would be close to finding a bench in a League 2 club in France. Explanations.
A bad memory for ASSE
Pascal Dupraz, born September 19, 1962 in Annemasse, is a French football coach and former player playing as an attacker. He notably coached French clubs such as Évian Thonon Gaillard, Toulouse FC, SM Caen and AS Saint-Étienne.
As a player, Dupraz mainly played in France, before becoming a coach. He is recognized for his ability to motivate his teams and keep them in Ligue 1, as evidenced by his time at Toulouse FC where he managed to avoid relegation during the 2015-2016 season.
However, on a similar mission in Forez, he was close to succeeding. The penalty shootout during the play-offs against AJ Auxerre was fatal. ASSE was relegated to League 2 under his leadership when he was close to achieving the feat.
Dupraz back in league 2?
Pascal Dupraz, former ASSE coach, is on the verge of finding a bench in France after these two failures in Saint-Etienne and Dijon. Indeed, in search of a new coach, FC Martigues is thinking of Haut-Savoyard. A Pascal Dupraz duo with Cédric Hengbart as assistant is about to take control of the club promoted to League 2. Indeed, the dismissal of Thierry Laurey should be made official shortly. The possibility of seeing Pascal Dupraz back on a French bench is therefore growing.
Red lantern, FC Martigues offered itself a prestigious victory against Paris FC this weekend (2-1). With 12 points on the clock, the southerners are 8 points behind the first non-relegation place and three on the play-off place occupied by Stade Malherbe de Caen. A rescue mission that only Pascal Dupraz can lead? Provence confirms this possibility!
