Matthias Jouanthe coach of the club
Granville, for Girondins4Ever and before the meetingspoke about the fact that the club was designated as a “guinea pig” in his words, to welcome the two groups of Girondins de Bordeaux supporters. A request made by the State and the FFF.
Did you say that you were going to be a guinea pig to welcome the two groups of Bordeaux supporters? So you had confirmation that they were going to move to Granville?
« Exactly ! I was again with my president recently (Monday evening), it is the State and the FFF who are putting us as guinea pigs so that we can receive the two groups of supporters so it's a mess without a name, knowing that it could be at additional risk. The non-aggression pact? Yeah we had it too but I still had my president who told me 'We're signing one but frankly I'm not sure that everyone respects it'. So they are not convinced that it really works like that but we have to bring everyone together. These two groups are going to be there so we are trying to put things in place to avoid any problems. On top of that, it's extra money to give. The club must pay to be able to have security. Things are imposed on us by bringing groups of supporters, and it can be a great party. Now, from there to paying again… We didn't ask for anything, we are guinea pigs and we find ourselves giving up a little money, a penny is a penny with us, and it is important. Now we will try to ensure that they are well received, that there is no confrontation between them because I think that it is between them that there are likely to be more things than between us (smile). »
