Journalist
After trying different sports, Thibault turned to a career as an amateur footballer. When making a choice between becoming a professional footballer and a journalist, the qualities tipped the scales to one side. Here he is now in the editorial staff of 10 Sport, after a diploma obtained at the International Institute of Communication in Paris.
Last summer, OM carried out a major clean-up within Roberto De Zerbi's squad, setting up a loft for undesirables. It worked well for the Marseille club, except for Chancel Mbemba. Unwanted, the Congolese is still in Marseille today, but the Marseille club could well have shot themselves in the foot with Mbemba, seeing a €3M transfer slip away.
Jonathan Clauss, Jordan Veretout, Pau Lopez… This summer, OM had designated many undesirables, inviting them to find a new club. Over the weeks, the loft set up by the Olympians became empty, but in the end, one player was still there: Chancel Mbemba. L’ABOUT will however have done everything to separate from the Congolese, with whom he even clashed during the summer, in vain, since the central defender did not move. A €3M transfer would however have seen the light of day for Mbemba as explained by Thibaud Vézirian.
“Hyper counterproductive economically”
On Youtube, Thibaud Vézirian returned to the summer transfer window of Chancel Mbemba and how theABOUT shot himself in the foot with the Congolese. “ Chancel Mbemba has been singled out for months, for his attitude, for his play, for his repeated injuries. This is complete nonsense. When you want to blame a player, do it properly. And what's more, it's extremely counterproductive economically. Why don't teams value certain players to sell them better? Putting them in a loft, putting them into closets, it doesn't make economic sense “, he first explained.
“All the clubs that could have bought have withdrawn”
Thibaud Vézirian then added about Chancel Mbemba : « If you had just played 2-3 friendly matches, a few Ligue 1 matches in Mbemba, everyone would have seen that he was OM's best defender. It would have sold very quickly. There by putting him aside, by making people believe via certain influential accounts on social networks that this player was in trouble, that he had attitude problems, all the clubs which could have bought for the requested sum of around 3M€ withdrew ».
