According to the Congolese media specializing in football Léopardsactu on Facebook, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard would like to loan the MHSC goalkeeper, Dimitry Bertaud. The current 4th in National is aiming to (re)climb to Ligue 2 and therefore intends to strengthen this winter. A loan of the replacement goalkeeper from Montpellier would therefore be under study, while Sochaux already has three goalkeepers in its ranks: Mathieu Patouillet (on loan from OL, current number 1), Baptiste Valette (ex-MHSC) and Alexandre Pierre (Haitian international). In addition, the Doubiens club has the second best defense in the third division championship with only 10 goals conceded in 14 matches.
We do not know the wishes of Montpellier Héraut regarding their second goalkeeper, but what is certain is that all the players are likely to leave the club this winter. Note that the goalkeeper, estimated at €1.2 million, is at the end of his contract next June.
So, is it a good idea for the 26-year-old Congolese international to venture into a club where a goalkeeper already seems well established? Bertaud struggles to satisfy and was notably targeted on the canvas after a complicated performance against Le Puy in the Cup, a match in which he conceded 4 goals.
