LOSC is renewing its charitable operation by organizing a stuffed toy throw during the match against Stade Brestois. This solidarity initiativealready successfully achieved in November 2023 against FC Metz, aims to collect thousands of stuffed animals to redistribute them to underprivileged children this holiday season.
A massive collection of plush toys
At half-time of the LOSC – Stade Brestois match this Friday 7 p.m., Lille supporters are invited to throw their stuffed animals on the lawn of the Decathlon Arena. During the “first edition of Ouverture P”luches” last November, more than 5000 stuffed animals had been harvested. After cleaning, these toys were redistributed to various associations to bring happiness to children in need as the end of year holidays approach.
Strict conditions for donations
To ensure the smooth running of the operation, LOSC issued some essential rules. Soft toys must be “new or in very good condition” and not exceed 40 cm. They must also not contain no batteries which may cause damage. The club accepts donations for all ages, from infants to teenagers. This solidarity collection, praised by the public last year, should once again spark a great outpouring of generosity in the aisles of the Lille stadium.
A welcome gesture of solidarity
Beyond the playful aspect of this rain of stuffed animals, the LOSC initiative has an important social dimension. By redistributing these thousands of toys to disadvantaged children, the Lille club is participating in brighten up the end of year celebrations for families in need. A beautiful gesture of solidarity to be welcomed, which shows the commitment of LOSC and its supporters to the most deprived.
