Barça: an Ivorian at 25 million euros to replace Robert Lewandowski!

FC Barcelona seems to be preparing for an ambitious summer transfer window by aiming to sign a new striker.

As the club looks to anticipate the succession of Robert Lewandowski, management has broadened its horizons to include promising young talents. Among them, the name of Karim Konaté, a 20-year-old Ivorian striker playing for RB Salzburg, emerged as a serious target.

A great promise in Salzburg

Karim Konaté, who joined RB Salzburg in July 2022 from ASEC Mimosas, is under contract until June 2028. His rapid progression in European football has attracted the attention of recruiters, and his current performances demonstrate its potential. With five goals and an assist in nine appearances in all competitions, he demonstrates undeniable talent which could enrich Barça's attack. Valued at 25 million euros by Transfermarkt, Konaté is also followed by clubs in England, which could make his acquisition more difficult. FC Barcelona will therefore have to act quickly if they wish to make this young striker a centerpiece of their offensive future.
