This is a matter that the Marseille management has clearly decided to resolve with the greatest discretion. Rayan Hassad, a 19-year-old Algerian attacking midfielder, announced his departure from OM this Sunday, without the club communicating.
Arriving at the club in 2021 from SC Air Bel, he ended his Marseille adventure after a period marked by several controversies. In the summer of 2023, Hassad was fired following a controversial post on social networks, in which he sent birthday wishes to his teammate Chancel Mbemba, removed from the group, using the term “cousin”, which was interpreted as a provocation linked to an internal conflict.
On the relaunch for OL?
According to Afrik Foot, other reasons contributed to his dismissal, including repeated lateness to training and conflicts with teammates. As a result, Hassad has not played this season, appearing with neither the U19s nor the reserves, after an early career in the Youth League and a few reserve matches with one goal scored. In this difficult context, the young player is now considering relaunching his career elsewhere, and his profile could attract several clubs, in particular Ligue 1 teams such as Atlético Madrid or Olympique Lyonnais, as well as Ligue 2 clubs, such as than Martigues or Dunkirk, likely to offer him more playing time.
