The meeting which pitted LOSC against Montpellier HSC was full of twists and turns and mistakes. The disciplinary sanctions were numerous, but the Mastiffs were miraculous.
Each team has its own reputation in Ligue 1 and suffice to say that LOSC and Montpellier are not children of the heart. Before the match kicked off, Lille (31, all yellows) and Montpellier (39 – 36 yellows, 3 reds) were two of the three teams having received the most cards in Ligue 1 this season. Opposed this Sunday, as part of the thirteenth day of the championship, they further worsened their situation. It's simple, twelve cards (including three red) were distributed by Benoît Millot at the Stade de la Mosson.
Replaced during the game (77′), it was on the bench that Mitchel Bakker was sanctioned and sent off (90+9′). The Dutchman came off his hinges when his coach was attacked by the Montpellier team in added time. In addition to this slightly brighter color, five of them were sanctioned. However, it is quite miraculous: none of the Mastiffs on probation were affected. Alexsandro (47′) and Matias Fernandez-Pardo (89′) will nevertheless now have to evolve with the threat of a suspension overhead, just like Benjamin André, Jonathan David, Thomas Meunier and Aïssa Mandi. Also sanctioned, Ngal'ayel Mukau (26′), Rémy Cabella (52′) and Hakon Haraldsson (90+13′) begin their respective series.

Many of them therefore find themselves under the threat of potential suspension. As a reminder, after 3 yellow cards in 10 matches, the player receives an automatic one-match suspension after going to the disciplinary committee. The sanction is always effective from the Tuesday following the passage in committee.
