THE Girondins de Bordeaux have passed the eighth round of the French Cup while beating
THE Herbariaalso a resident of National 2 and in the same group. They qualified 2-0 thanks to a double of Yanis Merdji.
This eighth round marked the last stage before the 1/32 finals and the entry into the running of the 18 clubs of Ligue
1. There was therefore a Nice skimming to leave only 64 teams in the race in this 2024/2025 edition. Beyond the 18 elite clubs which are making their appearance, 13 Ligue 2 clubs have passed the 7th and 8th rounds but also 7 National clubs.
For the amateur world, regulars are once again present like the Puyof
Cannes or even Calais. THE
Girondins de Bordeaux are of course a scarecrow between the remaining N2, N3, R1 and Overseas clubs. As for the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, the Merignac SA is the only survivor from last weekend, if we remove the Navy and White. They could therefore cross the FCGB.
The draw will take place this Monday, December 2 from 7 p.m. All that remains is to know the possible opponents of the Girondins, who will be in one of the four groups composed for the occasion.
