Since the start of the season, the Prefects have used and abused orders limiting, regulating and prohibiting the movement of supporters. The one on the Rennes side is no exception to this rule. As we revealed earlier today, AS Saint-Étienne initially had to deal with just over 500 places for this trip, a limit set by the Prefect of Ille-et-Vilaine. After negotiation and due to the extremely rapid filling of the parking lot, ASSE obtained a higher limitation.
So, there are 730 supporters of AS Saint-Étienne who are authorized to travel to Roazhon Park. They must travel by bus or minibus and respect a meeting point set by the services of the Interdepartmental Directorate of the National Police of Ille-et-Vilaine.
If you do not make the official trip, you are prohibited from displaying your colors in the city of Rennes: “It is prohibited on Saturday November 30, 2024 from 5:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., any supporter of AS Saint-Étienne to claim this quality, in particular by displaying a scarf, a badge, a piece of clothing, a flag allowing the identification of this club , on the territory of the city of Rennes, with the exception of the Roazhon Park stadium.”
Furthermore, this published decree also prohibits: “the possession, transport and use of all firecrackers or smoke bombs, flags and banners whose inscriptions call for provocation, violence or hatred and any object that can be used as a projectile.”
