CIT received for Djibril Diaw

It has now been more than two months since Djibril Diaw was at Haillan, and took part in Girondins de training sessions. However, the 28-year-old central defender still could not play since his license had still not been validated. It looks like things are FINALLY moving forward.

For the file to be validated, the International Transfer Certificate (CIT) was missing. This document must be transmitted by the Federation of the club where he played. However, the club from Rukh Lviv, in Ukraine, stopped its championship following the invasion of Russia, and during this time Djibril Diaw – who had the right to do so – left to play at Stade Lavallois. But his contract, which ran until 2025, was “only” suspended. Thus the Lviv club requested compensation from the Girondins de Bordeaux, which the Scapular Club obviously refused. The file had been placed in the hands of FIFA.

Good news this Thursday, according to our information, the Girondins received this transfer certificate. However, the central defender's file must now go to committee, in order to be validated, and so that he can finally officially be an FCGB player, and play. It is now only a matter of days.

If this is good news for the competition, Bruno Irles will now be faced with a serious dilemma since Cédric Yambéré and Jean Grillot have been impeccable since the start of the adventure.
