Supporters of Vendée Les Herbiers Football will not be able to attend their team's eighth round of the Coupe de France, Sunday 1is December (5 p.m.) against the Girondins de Bordeaux. The two National 2 clubs will indeed face each other at Bouscat (Gironde), behind closed doors. The Herbiers club confirmed this Thursday, November 28, specifying: “After various meetings between the two clubs, the French Football Federation and the Gironde Prefecture, the latter validated the match without spectators, despite all the efforts of the VHF so that our supporters could attend the meeting”.
Firstly, according to our colleagues at Southwest the Gironde club had given up organizing the meeting at the Matmut Atlantique in Bordeaux, due to organizational costs being too high in relation to revenue. Then planned in Talence, the match will finally take place at Bouscat, therefore, and behind closed doors, as has been the case several times for the Girondins de Bordeaux since the start of the season, when they played outside their stadium in the Coupe de France.
