Holder of a Master's degree in international law, I realized at the end of my university career that it was important to evolve in a field that you appreciate. Overnight, I decided to put an end to my parents' dream, who saw in me a future lawyer, to make a living from my passion: sport. Since then, I have covered transfer windows and sports news, trying to keep readers informed as best as possible.
In an uncomfortable situation financially, FC Nantes could receive the final blow from the LFP disciplinary commission. In the coming days, it should meet and discuss the incidents which disrupted the match against Le Havre this Sunday (0-2). The body should draw from a list of sanctions which ranges from partial closed session to the withdrawal of points.
The FC Nantes had a disastrous Sunday. His match against Havre was interrupted twice. After throwing tennis balls and toilet paper to protest against the LFP, some supporters tried to invade the field, while the Havre was heading towards victory.
The Commission's decision is awaited
These incidents should be on the menu of the Disciplinary Commission of the LFP, which is scheduled to meet on Wednesday. FC Nantes is exposed to serious sanctions, such as a withdrawal of points, which would be perceived internally as a catastrophe given the sporting situation of the club (16th in the ranking)
FC Nantes is in the red
As indicated by RMC Sport, the Commission could also condemn the FC Nantes at a closed meeting. Here too, the fallout could be catastrophic. Because playing a match in an empty stadium represents a loss of nearly €1 million. This shortfall could plunge the club into a total crisis.
