According to The Teamthe 31-year-old will remain on the sidelines for several weeks due to an injury in the fibula area. The SB29 resident was injured on Friday evening in Monaco during a match on the 12th day of Ligue 1
(3-2).
« He obviously received a crutch just above his plate (placed to strengthen his fibula). J'hope it won't be too serious but the doctor seemed worried », declared the Brest coach, Eric Roy, after the match, quoted by The Brest Telegram.
Already absent at the start of the season
Pierre Lees-Melou is unlucky. The former Dijon, Nice and Norwich City player missed the first six matches of the season due to a fractured fibula contracted in May. He will notably miss the Champions League poster on the FC Barcelona pitch, scheduled for next Tuesday (kick-off at 9 p.m.).
