Olivier Létang clarifies the LOSC situation after misinterpreted comments from Alessandro Barnaba.
The LOSC is going through a period of questioning, particularly with regard to its financial and structural future. Recently, statements from one of the club's co-owners, Alexander Barnabashave sowed doubt about a possible sale of the club. However, the president of LOSC, Olivier Létang, quickly provided clarification on this situation.
During an interview given to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Alessandro Barnaba, co-owner of LOSC, opened the door to the idea of selling the club. These comments immediately attracted media attention. They have fueled speculation about a possible upcoming sale of the club.
Olivier Létang's response: the club is not for sale
Faced with the shock wave caused by Barnaba's comments, Olivier Létang spoke to reassure LOSC supporters. Asked by RMCthe club president reaffirmed that LOSC was not for sale. Létang clarified that Barnaba's comments did not reflect the club's official position. According to him, there is “no action” for a sale and no contact with potential buyers.
The president also highlighted the current dynamics of the club, which he judges “very interesting“. The objective would be to continue the LOSC sporting project, without considering a short-term sale. These details are intended to calm rumors and underline the stability of the project under the aegis of the current owners.
If the sale of the club is not a short-term option, this does not prevent LOSC from considering strategic developments. The football market is constantly evolving, and major clubs are constantly subject to economic fluctuations. The recent history of LOSC has shown that changes in ownership can lead to profound transformations. However, in the present case, it seems that the current managers are keen to maintain stable management while ensuring the competitiveness of the club.
