A week after Pierre Sage's team, the OL women also made the derby red and blue. The difference is that there was no match this Saturday at GOLTC with the demonstration (11-0).

Last season, the double confrontation between theOL and the A.S. Saint-Etienne looked more like a ping-pong score than a football score (12-1 on aggregate). With the Stéphanoises' rather successful start to the season, we could expect further adversity. Finally, the seasons follow one another and are similar and even better. In the space of 90 minutes, the Lyonnaises did almost as well as in 180 last season.

This Saturday, in the cold of Décines, Joe Montemurro's players left only crumbs for their rivals in Forez. And still crumbs, the word is strong. There was no match with a new Rhone correction (10-0) and in what way! There has always been a gap between the two teams and the smell of the derby is logically less intense than with the boys, but this Saturday, the Fenottes clearly wanted to put their opponents' heads under water.

With almost 80% possession in the first half, OL worked hard to leave ASSE with no hope. In the space of a minute (12th, 13th), Lindsey Horan put the Fenottes into orbit with a double. The American was the great lady of this evening with a hat-trick in 35 minutes, bringing the gap between the two teams to three goals at the break. In the cold of the training center, OL's performance easily warmed the hearts of the Lyon supporters. There were also many of them for this derby with a record attendance and the atmosphere was different from the usual meetings at GOLTC. There were whistles against the Amazons, some anger but always in a good state of mind. The speaker even had the right to the famous anti-Stéphanois chant in the 42nd minute.

The women's derby may not have the same antagonism as the boys', but the Lyon pride was there. And it wasn't the second half that brought down the mood. The achievements of The Sommer (48th) and Lyonnaise Majri (52nd) have finished killing a suspense which already no longer existed. As usual, Joe Montemurro took advantage of this river score to quickly turn and blow some. This did not prevent OL from remaining within their standards against the neighbor with a sixth goal for Horan's quadruple (67th). The match then turned into a total demonstration with the achievements of Chawinga (79th), Van de Donk (87th), Dumornay (90th) and a Diani double (91st, 95th). OL remain leaders of the championship and continue on their merry way before returning to Roma at Parc OL on Wednesday (9 p.m.).
