Kombouaré soon to be fired, a crazy rumor among the Canaries!

After Michel Der Zakarian ( HSC) and Julien Stéphan (Stade Rennais), who will be the next Ligue 1 coach to be landed? Two trainers are currently holding the rope. If Olivier Dall'Oglio is in an uncomfortable position at AS Saint-Etienne, two other coaches are even more in the hot seat for me: Didier Digard from , and Antoine Kombouaré from FC .

Concerning the Canaries coach, the Kita delay is probably linked to the Kanak contract. Indeed, firing Kombouaré would cost the FCN no less than 2 million euros. But hey, if Nantes doesn't win next weekend against HAC, we don't see how Kombouaré could be kept in his position.

It is therefore in this context that rumors begin to flourish concerning the succession of Kanak, including one which particularly surprised me.

According to information from the Portuguese media OJogo, FC Nantes is considering the return of Sergio Conceiçao. President Waldemar Kita would be very interested in this idea. Conceiçao already managed FC Nantes between December 2016 and June 2017, with a rather interesting record of 13 wins, 5 draws and 8 defeats in 26 matches. Without a club since his departure from FC Porto last July, the Portuguese technician was coveted last summer by several teams across Europe, including Olympique and Lazio Rome.

Is this feasible? In my opinion, no. I even think that President Kita doesn't believe it. Going from FC Porto to FC Nantes seems so improbable, especially since Sergio Conceiçao refused more “upscale” clubs this summer. I can't see the Portuguese returning to Ligue 1 to play for survival.
