Like every week, the Sainté Night Club has arranged to meet you this Monday evening. The opportunity to return to the derby played on Sunday. The columnists focused on the level displayed by Aïmen Moueffek. Excerpts.
Bouchouari better accompanied?
Antoine Chirat (Onze Mondial) : “Associate Moueffek with Bouchouari? We saw last year that these two players could play together. In addition, we know that they get along very well off the field, and it is always interesting to have players who have a good personal understanding, because this can also be reflected in their play. Currently, however, Aïmen Moueffek has shown us since the start of the season that he is not at the expected level. On the other hand, Benjamin Bouchouari is really the revelation of these last two matches. Even against OL, against Lyon's experience in midfield, he proved that with his enthusiasm, his technique and his current form, he could compete. It's a nice surprise, but I think we have to remain cautious: we knew he had talent, but it remains to be seen if he can maintain this level over ten or even twenty matches.
I also want to point out that he is well surrounded. Ekwah, for example, is a player of superior quality, well above the level of many other ASSE players, with an excellent reading of the game and a great capacity for anticipation in his restarts. Even Mouton, who was criticized in the ratings, showed commitment yesterday; he helped free Bouchouari, giving him more freedom for his ball catches, climbs and forward throws. All this together allowed Bouchouari to shine and show a very beautiful face yesterday.”
“Moueffek is not superior to Mouton”
Joss Randall : “I'm going against all the chatter about Moueffek: I think he's not at all the player everyone portrays him to be. For me, Moueffek is an average player who overperformed last year, but he is technically limited and can be frustrating. It's true that he has a lot of play, and his main quality is being able to break the lines, but for that, he must be at 120% physically. five years that I hear about Moueffek, and I saw him at this physical level for six months in total. The rest of the time, I think he is greatly overrated because he is marked ASSE. He is in the middle of the GA92. For me, he is overrated, including within the team of this show. I think that if you look a little further, you see a Ligue 2 player for the moment. Point to the line. It's the guy from the Training Center ok, but we're here to watch what happens. When I see that Moueffek is much superior to Mouton, I'm not sure at all. I am even convinced of the opposite.“
